What's in my kitchen....

The common question remains, "What's your favorite small kitchen appliance??"  That's easy!!  It should be NO SURPRISE at all that BOTH of my kitchen staples are inspired by my sister and brother-in-law, Marc and Erica Francis.....They are definite "must have's."

FIRST:
The Griddler made by CUISINART
The Griddler is a grill, gone griddle, gone panini press..... It is multi-functional and will made you put the George Forman out with your Yard Sale items this summer.  There is nothing negative I can say about this appliance and could post an entire blog post about it....hmmmmm.

Second:
The Keurig Coffee Maker made by KEURIG

Keurig took the "one cup maker" and brought it to a whole other level, and now I see these EVERYWHERE.  If you don't have one and you love coffee, GET ONE.

And if any of you know my husband, you'd know that it would not come complete without the cabinets lined with various brew from Wild Mountain Blueberry {Mike's Favorite} to Cinnimon Pastry {my fave}.  When we "go home north" Marc has to stock up!!!

Believe it or not, my friends are ALWAYS asking me, "What kind of pots and pans do you use?" or "Where did you get them?"  Believe it or not, you'd be surprise at how simple and basic I am.

For my Bridal Shower, my mom purchased for us Advantage by FARBERWARE.  These induction compatible stainless steel with superior heat conduction pots and pans are the absolute best way for cooking, with the exception of your average Teflon coated pan.  The flat bottom is the money with these bad boys.... they distribute the heat evenly and prevent warping.  Not to mention about a 1/4 inch heat conductor that heats quick and holds the heat like magic.

I have scorched them, charred them, dropped them on the floor and they still look like new.  Totally dishwasher safe and complete for everything you need.  I think they cost around $200 dollars five years ago...... and most important, they'll last a lifetime, like us!!

But on Sundays, I always pull out the big guns for my Sunday Sauce.  As an engagement gift, Mike and I were given this 18/20 custom stainless steel combination double steamer and pot made by WILLIAM & SONOMA.  A dear friend of my mother's {the same woman that recommended the Farberware} gifted us this treasure.  For the most part, I never cook anything in this pot but Sunday Sauce.... superstition.

Luckily for me, they all fit nicely, tucked away in a small cabinet next to the stove.
